Taking care of succulents is easy with these tips from Grumpy Gardener Steve Bender.
When you go to the store and you look at the variety of succulents that you're going to see for sale you are going to be amazed. At the variety of colors and shapes and sizes. I could tell you the names of all the succulents. There are [UNKNOWN], there are [UNKNOWN], and there are [UNKNOWN] and aloes. But really, who cares. All you wanna do is pick out the plants that you like and put them together in a nice planter and then you can display them indoors, you can display them outdoors. One thing to keep in mind, not all succulents are winner hearty, so. I would say be on the safe side while you, while you can put this planter out, spring through fall, in the winter time you need to bring it inside where it's not gonna freeze. What do succulence need? The number one thing that they need is bright light. When I say bright light, I don't mean full blazing sun, they can take partial sun Even light shaded parts of the day. If you have an inside your house, you wanna put them in a bright window. The second thing is absolutely critical is they need very good drainage. The roots cannot stand in water at any time. This is because they store the water in their leaves and stems. And if they have wet, soggy soil, these plants are gonna rot overnight. So remember, when in doubt, don't water. [MUSIC] [BLANK_AUDIO]
